August Spring Cleaning didn’t go as planned, AT ALL.
First of all, I abandoned my room after about 20min. Then I went to the basement to try and bag and board the rest of my comics. I ended up coming across 2 more big boxes of comics, that now need to be B&B’d. So tomorrow, after work, I am pretty much going to be spending the entire days pay at the comic book shoppe, buying more bags, boards, and storage boxes. I guess this serves me right for not storing them properly as soon as I got them.
Anyways, I’ve got a bunch of Stand-up albums and Podcasts to get me through these boring tasks. Right now I’m re-listening to John Mullaney’s The Top Part.
My room is getting WAY too cluttered

I need to find a place for everything!!
Let’s see how this goes.
I’m bagging and boarding my comics and I came across this one that I thought had been taken away from me by a teacher when I was in elementary school.
This is “The Deadly Foes of Spider-Man: Vol. 1, No. 1”, but more important than that, it was the very first gift that I ever received.
It was published in May of 1991, and I was born on June 10th of 1991. It was purchased by my uncle who is a big fan of Sci-Fi (mostly Star Trek). He bought it for me a month before I was born, but didn’t give it to me until I was about 7 or 8.
I remember bringing it to school and showing it off to friends (who couldn’t care less) and reading it in class. That is probably why I thought I had lost it. I have lost many issues of Nintendo Power to the heartless monster known as the grade 1 teacher.
Anyway, it’s safe and sound, freshly bagged and boarded, and in great condition for a comic that is older than me (and let’s face it, I’m in less than mint condition).
The weirder you are, the harder I fall.
Obviously these are just examples and not exact qualifications, but essentially, what I am looking for is a girl who is as weird as me.
Here is the stuff that I picked up at the Convention. I thought that I would have spent more, but everything was so damn expensive. Plus, I didn’t see anything there that I couldn’t have picked up at my local comic book shop (who also had a booth).
I only bought 3 books:
1) The Avengers Omnibus (Issues 1-30, Hardcover, In Colour) - $112.99 $80
2) Wolverine: Old Man Logan - $34.99 $20 (The guy gave it to me for $20 because it had some water damage on the corner)
3) Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars - $38.99 $20

I’m planing on having the autograph framed. I probably wont hang it anywhere yet, but I just don’t want anything to happen to it. And for some reason the crew at the convention really dropped the ball when it came to printing off the Photo-op pictures. They told us that it would take an hour, and then 4 hours later we still hadn’t heard anything. So they are going to send out the pictures as email attachments, and will either mail the picture “comic book style” (Bagged, boarded, and in a padded envelope), or you can pick it up at a comic book shop in the city.
The point of the story I am at in The Walking books, or the fact that I’m almost caught up and will then have to wait monthly for the new issues (It’s Buffy Season 8 ALL OVER AGAIN).
I think I’ll just buy the new issues on one of the many comic book apps for the iPhone/iPad. I need to save shelf space for the hardcovers when they come out (which won’t be until the Fall!!!!!).
What kind of person does it make me if the first thing I thought when I saw this library was “I wonder if they have a comic book section”.
So, I am cleaning out my room today, and I realized that I have a ton of stuff that I need to get rid of, but instead of throwing it away, I was thinking about giving it to my followers. Let me be clear: This stuff is not trash. The reason I have this stuff is because I am a collector (not a hoarder), so it will all be in good condition (or whatever condition I got it in).
This will be a “Whoever reblogs first” type of deal, and some of the prizes are duplicates so you might get lucky.
The “prizes” will be a mixture of DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs, Books, Comic Books, Comic-Con 2009 swag, video games, toys, etc.
but here’s the catch…I need to get to 100 followers.
So if you don’t mind rebloging this and spreading it around I would be very great-full.
Also, my current followers will get something extra if they would like.
